My Favorite Four

Since Emery came along, there are a few things I've purchased that I really don't think I could do without. In no particular order, here they are!

1. Hands free pumping bra: http://www.simplewishes.com/
I love, love, LOVED having this while I was pumping. It actually gave me a little bit of freedom during one of my most despised tasks. Not at all attractive, but essential for any pumping moms!

Right up there with my disdain for pumping is my disdain for powdered formula. I know the pre-mixed formula is much more convenient, but I am on a budget! This allows me to make an entire day's worth of formula at one time. It has a plunging mixer, so you don't have to shake. And the best part...no clumps! I make it in the morning, stick it in the fridge, and pour as I need it!

I have not actually received this yet, but I ordered it online a couple of weeks ago. I know that the most important thing in the world to me is Emery, and I pray that I would NEVER need this. But I also know that I am human, and if this product can help keep me from making a mistake I would regret for the rest of my life, I'm all for it. You just replace your car seat chest clip with the one you receive, and put the key chain with your keys. Anytime the chest clip is closed and you walk more than 15 feet from your baby, an alarm sounds on your keychain. I saw this when I was reading an article in Parenting Magazine about a devoted mother who forgot to drop her son of at daycare and left him in the car all day. Of course, he did not survive. She went to pick him up from daycare at the end of the day, only to find out she had never taken him in the first place. She was not a "bath mother". In fact, she had adopted her two children from overseas. She just found herself out of her normal routine one day and did not realize her mistake. I can't wait to get this in the mail...I will let you know how it works!

Oh my goodness, what a lifesaver! This thing can hold a TON of clothes! I'm not even sure if this is the exact model that we got, but it's something like it. I cannot believe how much faster I can do the laundry now. I can fit our sheets, duvet cover, AND mattress pad in one load!!
